Although I worked on Memorial Day it was an enjoyable weekend. Got some errands done, went out, saw some good movies, played some chess. Details below….

Friday evening, after work, I got my hair cut and went to a happy hour at a small bar called Rosie’s Place in the Central West End. It was mostly coworkers, although Ryan and Adam met me there. We stayed for a couple hours and then went to Riddle’s in the loop for dinner, drinks, and to catch up with Liz after she got off work there. She had wanted us to meet her there at 11 so that we could stop her from drinking after work since she’s on the bandwagon.

We didn’t feel tired yet, so we rented How to irritate People and watched it at my flat. Afterwards I drove Adam and Liz home.

I slept in until early afternoon on Saturday. Ahhhh. Around 5pm Liz showed up. We went to grocery store and bought food and beer. Ryan showed up back at the flat and we watched the Cardinals game. Cards won. Go Cards.

After the game Lauren came over and the four of us went to Dressel’s. We played Uno and had a few drinks.

Sunday I was productive. I did errands and went shopping for a few things. Sunday evening Ryan and I went to Fitz’s for dinner. Ryan suggested I leave our phone number with the waitress so I wrote it on the receipt. She never called. After dinner we went to the Grind and played chess and had coffee. When we got home we noticed The Great Escape was on TNT. So we watched that until about 3am when I decided I’d go to bed and watch the rest again some other time.

Monday morning I went to work. Seeing as practically no one was at BJC on Memorial Day there isn’t much to report.

After work Ryan and I went to a BBQ at Jim and Brandy’s place. Steve and Josh showed up eventually. We ate lots of food, played chess, and watched Hackers . I realized as I had suspected before that Jonny Lee Miller is the same actor who played Sick Boy in Trainspotting.
