New Poll, flying cars, and ulcers. Woohoo, it’s Friday! Read the rest…

I got tired of the beer poll after only 5 votes. That’s the downside of not getting too many hits. So now you have to pick one of the hit movies I listed as your favourite. I know it’s hard, but you can do it. I have faith in you.

As has been asked numerous times, “Where are all the flying cars?” We’re supposed to have them by now. It’s past the year 2000. So what’s the deal? Well as it turns out, we do have flying cars. We just don’t have them in widespread use yet. There are a lot of hurdles to get over before your average joe can go out and buy a jetsons-like car for $60,000. But it seems we’ll get them eventually. Which would you rather spend sixty grand on: a lexus or a flying car? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

I think I have ulcers. Unfortunately they are worsened by my 4 food groups:

  • coffee
  • cigarettes
  • alcohol
  • greasy foods

So I’m making some changes to my diet and lifestyle. I even read that cabbage juice can heal ulcers quickly. Not sure I’m going to go that far yet, but I have cut back on the alcohol and cigarettes and have given up coffee altogether for the time being. I’m eating lots of fruits and vegetables and I feel better already. Amazing. Who would have thought? I think I shall be quitting smoking altogether very soon.

Well I think I’m off to go boil some cabbages…*cough*…what with the weekend coming up and my trip to Dallas on Sunday, I know I’m going to be doing a bit of drinking, so I better build up my stomach lining. The thought of my stomach bursting and releasing acid and other fluids into my abdomen is not a pleasant one.

  1. Oooh, cabbage juice. Only a quart a day keeps the ulcers away.

  2. Mmmm…mmm…good!
