Well this weekend was a weekend of firsts. I did a couple things I should have done in highschool but never did. Friday night I went to my first homecoming. Also, I’m ashamed to admit, it was the first time I’d ever been to a football game. We didn’t have a football team went I was at WCA. My girlfriend, Amy, teaches highschool and one of her classes was performing the national anthem before the game. It was good to meet some of her students and see where she teaches and amusing to hear the questions of some of her male students regarding my career and the giggles and looks the girls gave “Ms. B”.

Saturday night I went to a haunted house for the first time in my life. Thanks for the idea, Troy. Amy and I went with Troy and his girlfriend. It was a good cultural experience, although I don’t think I’ll spend $20 on a haunted house anytime soon. Troy said it wasn’t the best one he’d seen, so maybe there’s hope. :) After the haunted house we went to Dressel’s to converse and to celebrate the Cardinals’ sweep of the Diamondbacks in the division series.
