Nothing like a couple dragons to ease into tuesday afternoon.
I desperately want to learn how to make Dressel’s soups. Had a “cheese/steak” soup today that was to die for…It wasn’t what I expected and I was glad for it…no chunks of steak but rather it was all blended together in harmony. I could taste the cheese, a slight meaty flavour, a hint of beer and the whole thing reminded me of fondue….
If I could make soup like that I would eat at home more often.

I second that. I’d love to know how to make soup like that, too.
When you get a chance, try this chili recipe out:
1 lbs ground beef
4 cups beef broth
2 large onions, chopped
2 gloves garlic, chopped
1 30 oz can kidney beans
1 30 oz can white beans
2 30 oz cans diced tomoatoes (try using 1 can of Rotel’s for flavor)
1 30 oz cans tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon cumin
4 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
Sauté meat with chopped onions and garlic (drain)
Add tomatoes, broth, and seasoning (to taste)
Simmer at low heat for one hour
Add beans and simmer for 1/2 hour

Love a good chili recipe….I’ll have to try that (minus the onions which cause terrible stomache pain for me).
I usually substitute a little onion powder which isn’t so harsh.
