Well I got the results of my biopsy yesterday. The good news is that it was benign. The bad news is that I have Crohn’s Disease. Bummer.

So it’s time to realize I’m not immortal and change my lifestyle. I slipped up with the quitting, so I’m resetting my non-smoking counter. I’m also resuming working out at 24-hour fitness. I’ve got the membership, might as well use it. I’ve also cut coffee, tea, chocolate, and dairy almost completely out of my diet.

sigh

All my vices are gone.

  1. That’s really a bummer. Don’t know what to say, other than to offer support. And no matter what vices they take away from you, remember there is no disease that will prevent you from bludgeoning Smeg.

  2. You didn’t list abstinence from alcohol. So not all of your vices are gone. And cutting out those vices will probably make you healthier than most of us reading this. At least, I hope so.

Don’t forget that you’ve got a bunch of folks behind you. This has nothing to do with Ryan, bacon grease, or bungie cords, BTW. And whatever may come, remember: you’re not Ben.

  3. Jamin, please let us know if there’s ever anything we can do to help no matter how minor or major.

  4. Thanks guys. I appreciate the support greatly.

  5. Well, J, I feel for ya. If you remember, my mom has Crohn’s so I know enough to know it’s no fun at all. If ya ever need any info, my mom’s got more than most doctors. Later.
