My highschool friend, Charles is getting married. Saturday a bunch of us got together to celebrate by shooting each other with paintballs in excess of 200 fps. It was the first time I had done paintball and I learned a few lessons, chief among them is to wear adequate padding. The first couple games I wasn’t wearing gloves. On the third game I got hit on my right ring finger. It stung for about an hour. I also got hit a few times on my legs and shoulders and have some good size bruises to show for it. It was a lot of fun, though, and I definitely want to do it again sometime. It felt like real-life Quake or something. At one point Jim told someone that to reload you simply “shoot offscreen.” Seriously, though, it was interesting trying to figure out how to advance from your position once you had obtained good cover when several people had pinned you down by raining your area with fire. I’d like to get ahold of our own equipment sometime and play out in the woods somewhere where we have no time limits per game. It’d be fun to try something like capture the flag intead of elimination, also. After paintball we all went to Jim and Brandy’s place and played games and such. It was good to see everyone that I hadn’t seen in ages. I’ll post a couple pictures tonight.
Also, here is the screenshot of sound-juicer. It ripped the CD into oggs beautifully.

Did you read my other entry about multimedia? I provided links. Sound-juicer is a CD ripping program. That is it takes a CD and makes music files (either MP3 or OGG). Ogg Vorbis is a type of file format, like mp3. It’s actually better quality than mp3 and completely open source (no patents!). That’s why I prefer it to mp3.
