Film:
Last night I watched Frida, a film about the mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. I found myself wondering, as I have of other media such as books I’ve been reading, how historically accurate it was. I think these sorts of movies and books are going to drive me to become an amateur historian/researcher.
Spam:
Today I installed a movable type anti-spam plugin which I’m hoping will reduce or eliminate the comment spam I’ve been getting. Hopefully that will be good enough until MT 3.0 which I believe is going to support registration.
Beer:
I hear from my Kansas City Informant that Boulevard Dry Stout, which beats Guinness, by the way, is now available in bottles. I shall be looking for these bottles in my local groceries and pubs.
Mardi Gras:
The big Mardi Gras pubcrawl is tomorrow and this weekend should be fun as well with the parade and other festivities going on this weekend. If you’re in St. Louis, you should try to get down to Soulard this weekend.
GNOME:
Spatial nautilus rocks, despite what the detractors are saying. (nautilus maintainers)++

Wow, you get comment spam? I must be lucky!

Yep, registration helps. MT may be the cat’s meow right now, but it does lack a thing or two. You can always take a sideways look at GeekLog. Of course, CMS systems are getting to be a dime a dozen…

GeekLog looks pretty sweet, but I’m not really up for going through another database migration right now and actually overall, I’ve been quite pleased with MT. It’s quite usable and is perfect for hosting multiple weblogs. It’s downright trivial to add a new blog for a friend. One of these days I’ll get around to redesigning my stylesheets so I don’t just have one of the default looks that half the world has.

Ahh, you plugged my walk! My pubcrawl is going to rock! Now you can official say you have been on one of my walks, since you did not remember the first one you attended on the Hill, which was my last walk as a captain….

Yeah, should be a good time, Rebecca. I’m trying to get as many of my friends to come as possible.

Well I should think so. I think the last stop will be the best, b/c my friend will be the dj that night, and he is good with his music… Plus the buckets of free liquor…. What else does someone need (music, alcohol and good times)?
