Stayed home last night, watched the rest of B5: season 4, read for a while, and considered ways to integrate Adam’s Dateparse with Evolution. Now I feel rested and ready to head down to Soulard for some Mardi Gras festivities.

  1. Dear Mr. Gray:
Hope you had a safe and sane Mardi Gras, and thanks for the link to the Soulard/CIN site. I had visitors from Sweden, the Netherlands and Germany. Your Gnome has a varied audience. You mentioned Metropolis in one of your messages. Are you a member? I handle their For Rent page, and I have put together the CIN site for another St. Louis neighborhood: Benton Park at http://stlouis.missouri.org/bentonpark. I have a journalism background, and so I try to personalize the sites as much as possible. Anyway, thanks again for the link.
    Sincerely,
    Clark Rowley

  2. Clark, I appreciate the time you took to post a comment. I did indeed have fun, safe, and relatively sane Mardi Gras. The GNOME community indeed has wide readership ranging all over the world. I’m not officially a member of Metropolis, but I do know quite a few people who are and I go on the “walks” fairly often. Anyway, great web work, Clark. I loved the Soulard site.

  3. Long long ago someone (Federico I think) advocated that the views in Evolution should share the same api. This would allow the user to view a mail folder in the calendar view. This would be the nicest solution, but hardly an easy one…

I guess it should be possible to write a calendar backend that uses the camel. Which I suppose would be second best…

  4. The ending of season 4 has some of the best episodes in all of Babylong 5. I don’t want to mention any particular ones, so as to not give anything away. But apart from season 3, this definitely is definitely Babylon 5 at its best.

  5. Season 4 had its not-so-good moments, but overall I really enjoyed it. It was sort of disappointing after all the buildup from season 3 of the Shadow war how the war ended up ending in Season 4. It sort of felt like it built up and built up with the shadows being so freaking powerful and the vorlons being basically good but not wanting to interfere until the right time and then…it just all went away. But once the focus shifted back to conflicts with Earth things got interesting once again and I did really love the last few episodes of season 4.
