I enjoyed reading Robb’s interview with Siracusa. John has some insights on the spatial finder, usability, and desktop linux. I also agree with Robb’s assessment:
He had some interesting comments on desktop Linux. I agree with him
that Linux needs a “group of smart, dedicated people in positions of
power who care about making a GUI that everyone can use and enjoy.”,
but *emphatically* don’t share his opinion that desktop Linux needs “an
ego-maniacal dictator who will rule with an iron fist, crushing all
opposition in the pursuit of The One True Linux GUI.” The personal
computing industry isn’t lacking ego-maniacal dictators!
