I’ve been pretty busy lately. Spent the weekend in Kansas City with Ben, Lori, Stephanie, Alan, and Troy. We used Stephanie and Troy’s birthdays as an excuse to get out of St. Louis and visit friends.

Work has been fun and busy. I installed Fedora Core 1 on my Gateway 200x notebook. The essentials work however I still haven’t gotten acpi to handle my battery/ac notification and the BIOS doesn’t seem to support apm. Apparently it can be made to work with a patch to the kernel and some other crap. I’ll play with it and try to get the intel centrino wireless drivers working when I have a bit more time. For now I just stay wired (ethernet and ac) and I’m fine. I’ve been working pretty long days (11 hours yesterday) but the work is fun so the time passes quickly.

And as you’ve all heard, GNOME 2.6 is out! Congratulations to the release team and all the hackers who worked on this outstanding release.
