Had a good three-day weekend. Went down to Soulard Friday night with some friends. It was good to hang out with Ryan and Molly, meet Hans (Emily’s boyfriend) and see Chris, Liz, Stephanie, Laura, and later on Amanda, Alyse, and Melissa. Saturday evening I helped Ben and Lori move some stuff from the truck to their new temporary housing. Yes, they’re finally back in St. Louis for good. Went down to the landing for a while to dance, and back to Stacy’s house to sober up before heading home. Good to see Caroline and Stacy and to meet Rachel (or Rachael?) who was especially sweet to me.
Sunday afternoon I helped Ben and Lori move the rest of their stuff to storage. It reminded me how much I’m dreading moving next April. At least I’ll be just moving in-town. Had some friends over Sunday evening for food, wine, and a film. We watched Pieces of April, a bittersweet film that I recommend watching sometime.
And finally, today I saw Super Size Me which was hysterical, sickening, and convicting. We’re clearly out of control, nutritionally.
Back to work tomorrow. Should be fun. We’re ready to branch 1.0 and the trunk and I can then merge the 1.1 stuff I’ve been messing around with to the Trunk. And we decided to go with short, time-based releases for the software on our Edge Server. Inspired by GNOME.
