Well my first experience on a dirtbike was a disaster. I accelerated too quickly into a turn and went through a chain link fence. Ended up with multiple fractures in my left foot. The exact diagnosis is Lisfranc fracture/dislocation with metatarsal fractures of Left foot. Otherwise I’m okay. The doctors attempted to set the bones in a cast and I’ll be going back to the hospital in 3-5 days to evaluate whether or not it requires surgery. I’m really hoping it will heal without surgery, obviously, but if it does require surgery, at least Barnes has some of the best orthopedic surgeons around, doing surgery on athletes such as Kurt Warner. Hmm…On second thought….

Did it require surgery? I just had a dirtbike accident too! I tore my ACL….my brother and I were riding and he hit me and I flipped and tore it! Of course I had to have surgery…but I hope your ok! Sorry your first dirtbike experience wasn’t any better than it was!

I’ll find out on Tuesday what the status is. That’s when I go back to the doctor to evaluate how well it’s healing. The odd thing is I would like to try to ride a dirt bike again sometime, once I’ve healed. Of course next time I’ll wear protective gear and ride in a more wide open area.

Yeah, I’d like to try it again sometime, with some equipment and a more open area. It was definitely fun until I crashed!
