I bought a mountain bike yesterday. Julie and I biked around her neighborhood in Shrewsbury and eventually hit part of the River Des Peres Greenway. In addition to this list of bike trails anyone know of any good paths/trails in the greater St. Louis area? I’m looking recommendations for roads that are bike-friendly in the city and county and bike trails in parks within a reasonable driving distance.
Update: Using Gmap Pedometer to trace our route, it appears we biked close to 5 miles.

You should check out this site too - http://www.bikestlouis.org/map.htm. I’m pretty sure it lists all of the bike-friendly roads around town. Download the map to see the bike routes that will take you all over downtown and out to Forest Park.
