I decided to make meatloaf tonight. Here’s what I came up with after making some changes from my first attempt and I think it’s worth posting now.

Preheat oven to 350° F.

1 lb ground turkey
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup ketchup
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon celery salt

Ingredients

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. The easiest way to do this is with your hands. Form into a loaf shape and place on a cookie sheet covered in foil.

Uncooked

Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and spread a layer of ketchup over the top with a spoon. Bake for 15 more minutes. Enjoy…

  1. South Beach diet meat loaf recipie is the best ever b/c you make your own sauce from wine and tomato sauce. You should try it sometime. PS Most people put meat loaf in a bread pan so the juices stay with the meat :)

  2. I’ll have to look up that recipe sometime. It sounds tasty. I know about the loaf pan. I just didn’t have one at the time so I improvised. It turns out surprisingly well without a loaf pan.
